Welcome to The Race Engineer!

Hey guys! I am a racing fan. I've noticed so many people calling Formula 1 - the pinnacle of Motorsport - as just going around in circles. I understand their thought process, if I'm being honest because I myself was under a similar impression a couple of years ago.

I started watching racing during the lockdown when football - another sport of which I am a huge fan - was not being played due to obvious reasons. My first encounter with racing came during Qualifying for the British Grand Prix of 2020. And let me be very clear in saying that I understood none of it. Like, why even do Qualifying? What's the use? What is Q1, Q2, Q3? And what in the world do terms like 'downforce' and all mean?

Well that's what I'm going to try to help you to understand through The Race Engineer. I'm going to help you understand the insane world of Formula 1 racing and provide writeups on races. I'll help you understand stuff like tyres, strategy (yes, of course there is a strategy that teams use in races...), the essential components of the car and much more.

 I hope that with the help of this blog you will not only start enjoying racing, but also share the same passion about it that millions of people all over the world possess.
